Light Up Camp Shand

Camp Shand offers kids a safe, fun environment, a place to belong and a chance to build self-confidence. Life-changing experiences at Camp Shand create hope and forge the character of our future leaders. Currently, Camp Shand is in need of facility upgrades and other improvements that will help us continue these experiences that create hope and forge the character of our community's youth.

Nature hikes, canoeing, frog hunts, campfires, and experiencing life in the great outdoors...these are activities that have lit up children's faces with smiles for years. But advances in technology dominate our culture and result in more children living sedentary lives than ever before. In each young person coming to Camp Shand for an outdoor experience, we see the shining promise of a brighter future- a hope that extends beyond the term of our lives.

Naming Opportunities
Several Named Space Opportunities are still left! Naming Opportunities start at $10,000.

The Founders' Plaque
When you donate a minimum of $3,000 (or $600 per year for 5 years) your name will be prominently displayed on the Founders' Plaque in our new facility. This plaque will honor YMCA supporters who have played a vital role in helping to complete the new city building project.

Buy a Y Tile
Leave your legacy on the new YMCA! With a minimum gift of $500 (or $100 per year for 5 years) you can purchase a Buy a Y tile and have your name as a permanent part of the YMCA. Choose from the Standard Design Tile or be creative and Paint Your Own Y Tile at the Pottery Works in downtown Lancaster.
