Aquatics Programs
The Lancaster Family YMCA offers aquatics programs for all ages and ability levels. Moms-to-be are encouraged to participate in any aquatics program!
Exercise classes have a minimum requirement of 6 participant in order to hold a class. Swim lessons have a minimum of 3 participants to hold a class.

60+ H2O
Sponsored by the Office of Aging this class, designed for individuals 60 years and older, uses the dynamics of stretching coupled with the water's natural resistance for toning and core strengthening while enhancing energy.
AquaCore
Using dynamic stabilization, this class enhances core strength while offering a challenging aerobic workout. Swimming skills are not necessary for this class; floatation belts used.
Aquafit
This energizing workout uses interval training and strength-building exercises using buoyant equipment. Both deep and shallow water environments will be used for each segment of the workout. Be advised that individuals with movement limitations may find this class challenging, but all ages are welcome!
Aquatone
Using the properties of buoyancy and resistance, this class offers a fun aerobic workout in shallow water. Specific exercises tone and strengthen using the weight of the water and aquatic equipment. You do not need to be able to swim to participate.
Lap Lanes
Lap swimming is available during operating hours unless otherwise indicated. Lap swimming is open to anyone, although children 11 and under must be supervised by an adult on the bleachers at all times. Lap swimming and use of lanes for personal fitness such as water walking/jogging or other types of aquatic workouts can be done during lap swim. There is NO Lap Swim Monday/Wednesday 7-7:30 pm & Saturday 9 am-12 pm at the City Center. While we typically make every effort to keep two lanes reserved for lap swimming, but there will be times that only that one lane is available. Schedule is subject to change.
Splash Dance
Enjoy an exciting dance workout in the pool when taking SPLASH DANCE! This class will tone your body with dance moves. Taught by an experienced instructor, the YMCA will ensure a great workout while you get in shape! Classes will begin Wednesday, September 15th from 7:30-8:15am. Register at the front desk or online today!
Family Swim
Fun for the entire family; non-swimmers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian within arm's length in the water. All swimmers under the age of 18 are required to take a swim test before deep water swim.
Waterworks After Work
Deep water exercise program offered right after work for strengthening and toning. Floatation devices are used during this great aerobic workout.
Aqua Zumba
Try your Zumba moves in the water! This class involves the moves of land Zumba, without the j oint pressure! If you love music, dancing and water, this is the class to try!
Just for Me Water Fitness
On Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30-7:30 am wake up and get your heart pumping before work! Deep and shallow water, high intensity cardio workout.
Cardio Blast
Offered Mondays and Wednesdays, get ready for a high energy, high intensity cardio workout to help release all your stored up energy from the day.
Deep Intervals
Combine low and high intensity intervals to acheive maximum cardiovascular strength and endurance. Zero impact on joints!
Extreme Deep
Heart pumping cardio mixed with trength training for the entire body and abs! You will feel wonderful after this class.
Arthritis Aquatic Foundation Program
Sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation. A series of movements and exercise to help relieve the pressure and pain of arthritis in joints.
