City Y First Birthday Celebration!
The City Y is throwing a FREE birthday bash on Saturday, September 25th from 10:00am-5:00 pm! Join us for cake, tours of the facility, family swim time, inflatable fun, face painting and much, much more! This event is open to our community friends and family.

Halloween at the City Y!

Spend an evening of safe family fun at the City Y! Join us for creepy crafts, games and our inflatable obstacle course. There will also be pumpkin decorating, "haunted" trick or treating and a spooky swim from 7:30-8:15. A costume contest will also be held in the gym at 8:00 pm. Hope to see you there!

YMCA's Christmas Bazaar

Do you have new or slightly used items around your house that you're looking to get rid of? Would these items be appropriate for kids to give to their parents as Christmas gifts? If so, please consider donating them to the YMCA's Christmas Bazaar collection! We are gathering items NOW - DECEMBER 3.

These donations will be available in December at our Christmas Bazaar for children to purchase as gifts for their parents. Items should be delivered to Tracy Brunke at the City Center YMCA.

City Y NYC Bus Trip
Join the City Y for a fun day in NYC on December 18th! The bus will depart Lancaster at 7:00 am and will depart NYC at 7:00 pm. Tour the Rockefeller Center and 5th avenue during the holiday season, along with taking a stroll through the streets of midtown Manhattan. This is one holiday adventure you don't want to miss!

Doggy Swim at the L-S Outdoor Pool
Does your dog love to swim? Then bring them to the L-S Outdoor Pool on Sunday, September 12th from 1:00-3:00 for an afternoon swim!

Cost:
$10 for Overlook Dog Park members (must show your key fob)
$15 for non-Park members, with proof of vaccinations to be shown before entry to the event
$5 each additional dog

There will be a vet present for any possible need that may arise, in addtion to a lifeguard. Absolutely NO ONE under 18 years of age is allowed in the pool. We expect very limited amount of human time in the pool itself. All monies collected will benefit L-S Y Programming.

Brendan Hansen Swim Clinic
3 Time World Record Holder and Olympic Gold Medalist Brendan Hansen will be coming to the Lampeter Strasburg YMCA on Sat. Oct. 30, 2010 for a 4 hour race day clinic.

Brendan will begin the clinic with a motivational speech that tells his story; how he won his first National Championship in 1999; how he then a year later just missed making the Olympic team but came back and helped team mate Michael Phelps get his record 8th gold Medal in the 2008 Olympics by swimming the breaststroke leg of the 400 m. medley relay. There will be time for autographs, then a 2 hour pool session with Brendan to work on stroke mechanics, starts and other tips to help swimmers tweek their performances.

Cost for this clinic is $75 for Y members and $95 for Potential members. Spaces are limited! Register today so you are not left out!!
