Did You Know ...
in 2007 the Lancaster Family YMCA provided over $800,000 for membership and program to individuals and families in need?

YMCA Foundation:

The Lancaster YMCA Foundation exists to provide a permanent financial base to preserve the mission and services of the Lancaster Family YMCA. The Foundation supports current YMCA programs and is creating a legacy to ensure that the YMCA will continue to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities for generations to come. The YMCA experience is like none other. It truly teaches children values and gives them an opportunity to continually discover and enhance their own strengths and abilities.

Helping Our Youth
Your gift to the Lancaster YMCA Foundation is an enduring and far reaching investment in the community - one that has immediate as well as long-term rewards.

Camp Shand
The YMCA Foundation provides increased scholarships to Camp Shand where an under-privileged child has the opportunity to undergo a life transforming experience. Through activities and group dynamics, Camp Shand lives by the motto, "I'm third." Children are taught to put their belief system first, others around them second, and themselves third. Plus, children are taught the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The fund also provides for facility improvements on an on-going basis.

Named Endowment Fund
Creating a fund and naming it after a loved one is an opportunity to honor a family member, friend or loved one while helping improve the life of a child.

Giving Options
Your giving options may include opportunities to realize federal and estate tax benefits, provide for a stable and predictable income for your lifetime, and reduce or eliminate potential capital gain tax. * The benefits of becoming involved with the Lancaster YMCA Foundation are rewarding and self-fulfilling... Become a part of it...the Lancaster YMCA Foundation.

* Please consult your tax advisor about the tax benefits applicable to you.

The Heritage Club
By becoming a member of the Heritage Club, you will join a special group of YMCA friends who have made a financial commitment which, both now and in the future, will benefit the YMCA Foundation Endowment Fund. Membership is secured through gift commitments that may be estate-related, or gifts that generate income during a donor's lifetime. The following gifts would qualify for new Heritage Club membership:

  • Stock, cash or other securities given outright.
  • Bequests.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts.
