Dr. William R. Boben, Jr. was awarded the Lancaster Family YMCA’s 2014 John R. Mott Servant Leader Award at the Y’s Annual Meeting on March 19.
Dr. Boben became involved with the Lancaster Family YMCA and Camp Shand when his son, Bill, was serving as a YMCA board member. Bill mentioned that Camp Shand needed help with providing medical services to campers. Dr. Boben has since volunteered his services as Camp Physician, providing check up for all incoming campers and guidance to the Camp Shand Health Officer throughout the Summer season. Dr. Boben has also served on the Camp Shand Board of Managers since 2012.
We are grateful for his years of dedicated service to the Y and Camp Shand. Learn more about Dr. Boben and the John R. Mott Servant Leader Award, by clicking here.
